Dear subscribers,

To this day, we have successfully completed two  - January and February terms. In total numbers, since its establishment in 2017, the LEVIT has welcomed itslargest ever number of students exceeding number 40!

Great results right from the beginning of the year that motivate us to constantly come up with new innovative ideas within Arabic learning process!

Let´s take a look together at the latest updates!

ARABIC CLASSES CONTINUE

Arabic learning is in full swing and LEVIT students are making great efforts to achieve desired results. Good continuation!

UNCONVENTIONAL LEARNING

Beside the regular Arabic classes in the LEVIT, students had again a chance to practise and improve their language skills within their monthly field activity. Cooking classes, common brakfast, volunteering in the local restaurant for underprivileged people...that all was part of their Arabic learning immersion experience in Tripoli.

History & Caligraphy class
In January 2019, the LEVIT launched two optional courses - History class with Prof. Ziad Al Koussa from Balamand University and Caligraphy class with Mr. Jihad Mikati from Lebanese Universiity. Both guest lecturers in the LEVIT help our students better understand historical and socio-cultural aspects of Lebanon and broader region. Warm welcome to both of them!

LIKAAT

Within January and February edition of LIKAAT, our monthly talk, the LEVIT hosted two precious guests. Firstly, our guest Mrs Mia Bou Khaled from Lebanon Support presented their recent Conflict Analysis Project: Understanding Conflictuality in Lebanon devoted to current conflict dynamics in Lebanon. The last edition of the monthly talk entitled Niemeyer´s Legend in Tripoli with Mr. Nassim Naghi, architect restorer and university professor, brought a closer look at the history and development of the Rashid Karami International Fair as well as the importance of the preservation of this unique architectural structure for the Lebanese society. Thank you to both of our guests for their presentations!

Students in action

The LEVIT students once again showed the willigness to devote time to kids from MAAN and help them develop their skills in different areas - French, English, drama, sport, yoga and art. Volunteering brought a mutual enriching interaction!!

After all the efforts everyone deserves to relax!!!
